Dear Educator,
As you plan for the new school year, we hope you will consider enhancing your curriculum by bringing your students to GALita, our imaginative children’s theatre company. As part of GALA’s 35th Anniversary Season, GALita will stage the award-winning El bosque de mis libros by Uruguayan Ignacio Martínez, a production guaranteed to enchant and inspire your students’ creativity, while immersed in a Spanish-speaking environment. The play, which is suitable for children 7 to12 years old, will be presented in Spanish only at the GALA Theatre, 3333 14th Street, NW in Washington, DC.
As part of our efforts to make your experience with a GALita performance more rewarding for both you and your students, we can provide the following:
• A coloring book with vocabulary relating to the play’s theme that can be emailed or provided in hard copy the day of the performance.
• Student Matinee Group Rate of $5.00 per ticket for certain Thursday matinee performances at 10:30 am.* Groups must be ten students or more.
(Saturday shows price: child $8.00, adult $15.00.)
• Free educator ticket per 20 students who attend the performance.
For more information about GALita and our Student Matinee Program, or to make reservations for this production, please contact me at 202-234-7174 or at galayouth@galatheatre.org.
