Don Amadeo Martínez is a 75-year old man who grew up in the countryside of El Salvador. As a child, he would travel to the city with his grandmother. On one visit, he heard an electric guitar for the first time and, after that, fell in love with rock 'n roll. But the realities of life in the countryside kept him from realizing his dream of becoming a rocker. In the first chapter of this trilogy, Don Ama found another way to achieve his dream, becoming a rock 'n roll DJ at a country music station with his own spot "El Canuto del Rock" (“The Rock Segment”), igniting a rock ‘n roll revolution in the countryside. The sequel followed Don Ama as he began to travel the world as a global ambassador for "rock del campo" - rock from the countryside - and reunites in DC with his friend Lilly and features DC's own Salvadoran punk-rock Machetres on this show. Now, in the third and last chapter, Don Ama is an elder whose life has taken many turns with love and loss, including adopting a son. He, Lilly, Machetres meet again to share stories, and this time joined by the new generation of Salvadoran-Americans who are the new blood of Rock 'n Roll in DC.

This trilogy is creator's Quique Avilés' legacy on the reality of Salvadorean peasant life and our stereotypes of people from the countryside.
