This documentary follows the ups and downs of Sebastian, a psychologist and singer, who has a natural talent for imitating Mexican singer Luis Miguel.After being fired from his job, he tries his luck imitating the Mexican legend; and his life turns upside down. On the surface, everything goes well. But inside he struggles with multiple issues that create an identity crisis.He is tormented by his psychologist vocation, his aspirations of being a singer-songwriter, and the demands and pressures from his manager. The frontiers of his identity become blurred and what seemed to be a dream come true starts to transform into a reality that is difficult to bear.
Este documental sigue los altibajos de Sebastián, psicólogo y cantante, quien tiene un talento natural para imitar al cantante mexicano Luis Miguel. Luego de ser despedido de su trabajo, prueba suerte imitando al "Sol de México" y su vida da un vuelco. En la superficie todo va bien, pero por dentro lucha con múltiples problemas que crean una crisis de identidad. Lo atormentan su vocación de psicólogo, sus aspiraciones de ser cantautor, y las exigencias y presiones de su representante artístico. Las fronteras de su identidad se desdibujan y lo que parecía un sueño hecho realidad comienza a transformarse en una realidad difícil de soportar.

Silent Witnesses is an imaginary journey through the history of Colombia—and its cinema—during the convulsive first half of the 20th century, using solely the surviving footage of Colombian silent cinema. This melodrama love story of Efraín and Alicia traces the roots of political turmoil in Colombia. Efraín falls in love with Alicia, who is engaged to Uribe, a powerful and vengeful strongman. In a revealing journey into the heart of the jungle, Efraín witnesses the humiliating conditions of the peasants in the south of the country and the birth of an armed rebellion.
The film is the posthumous work of Luis Ospina, one of the most influential filmmakers in the Latin American documentary tradition, as well as the first film of producer and film critic Jerónimo Atehortua.
Testigos silenciosos es un viaje imaginario a través de la historia de Colombia y su cine durante la convulsionada primera mitad del siglo XX, utilizando únicamente las imágenes disponibles del cine mudo colombiano. Esta historia de amor melodramática entre Efraín y Alicia deja entrever las raíces de la agitación política en Colombia. Efraín se enamora de Alicia, quien está comprometida con Uribe, un hombre fuerte, poderoso y vengativo. En un revelador viaje al corazón de la selva, Efraín es testigo de las humillantes condiciones de los campesinos del sur del país y del nacimiento de una rebelión armada.
La película es la obra póstuma de Luis Ospina, uno de los cineastas más influyentes de la tradición documental latinoamericana, y la primera película del productor y crítico de cine Jerónimo Atehortúa.

Martínez, a lonely and grumpy old accountant, leads an isolated and monotonous life. He suddenly confronts his impending retirement when his replacement starts working next to him. Meanwhile, his neighbor, a woman of his age, is found dead in her home. Although he never met her, Martínez discovers details about her life that positively impact his own behavior, leading his co-workers to think he has a new girlfriend. Ultimately, Martínez realizes that his life is still ahead of him.
The debut feature by writer-director Lorena Padilla is set in Guadalajara and stars Chilean actor Francisco Reyes, protagonist of the acclaimed Academy award-winning film A Fantastic Woman.
Martínez, un contador viejo, solitario y gruñón, lleva una vida aislada y monótona. De repente, se enfrenta a su inminente jubilación cuando su sustituto empieza a trabajar a su lado. Mientras tanto, su vecina, una mujer más o menos igual de mayor, es encontrada muerta en su casa. Aunque nunca la conoció, Martínez descubre detalles sobre su vida que impactan positivamente su comportamiento, lo que lleva a sus compañeros de trabajo a pensar que tiene una nueva novia. Al final, Martínez se da cuenta de que aún le queda toda una vida por delante.
El primer largometraje de la guionista y directora Lorena Padilla está ambientado en Guadalajara y lo protagoniza el actor chileno Francisco Reyes, también protagonista de la aclamada película ganadora del Oscar: Una mujer fantástica.

A teenager, who spends his days bike riding and rapping freestyle in his beach town home, takes an acting class behind his mother’s back and is offered a film audition. During his trip to Montevideo, he discovers family secrets, and figures out who he wants to be. This third feature film by Argentine writer-director Pablo Solarz is an endearing personal coming-of-age tale based on Solarz’s real-life drama student who also plays the film’s protagonist.
The film was a favorite at the Berlin Film Festival and winner of the Critics Award at Spain’s Malaga Film Festival.
Un adolescente, que pasa sus días andando en bicicleta y rapeando estilo libre en su casa de playa, toma una clase de actuación a espaldas de su madre y le ofrecen una audición para una película. Durante su viaje a Montevideo, descubre secretos familiares y define quién quiere ser. Este tercer largometraje del escritor y director argentino Pablo Solarz es una entrañable historia personal sobre el Coming-of-Age, basado en la verdadera historia de uno de sus estudiantes de drama, quien también interpreta al protagonista de la película. El filme fue una de los favoritos en el Festival de Cine de Berlín y ganadora del Premio de la Crítica en el Festival de Cine de Málaga de España.

Cuban-born acting-dancing sensation Ninón Sevilla plays a cabaret performer who adopts the abandoned child of her murderous pimp. The kindhearted club owner saves her from poverty and prostitution, amidst impassioned songs and performances of African, Caribbean, and Cuban dance styles. Rarely screened in the United States and long due for rediscovery, Victims of Sin is famed Mexican director Emilio Fernández’s unique blend of film noir, melodrama, and musical.
Now fully restored in 4K from the original 35mm nitrate camera negative, which was damaged over the decades, by Peter Conheim (Cinema Preservation Alliance/USA) and Viviana Garcia-Besné (Permanencia Voluntaria/Mexico). Permanencia Voluntaria and Cinema Preservation Alliance co-produced the preservation effort with further assistance from IMCINE and the Academy Film Archive, bringing Victims of Sin back to the screen with a clarity and depth not seen since its original release.
La diva del baile y la actuación nacida en Cuba, Ninón Sevilla, interpreta a una artista de cabaret que adopta al niño abandonado de su proxeneta asesino. El bondadoso dueño del club la salva de la pobreza y la prostitución, en medio de apasionadas canciones y bailes con ritmos africanos, caribeños y cubanos. Rara vez proyectada en los Estados Unidos y siendo su redescubrimiento algo esperado por mucho tiempo, Víctmas del pecado es una combinación única entre cine noir, melodrama y musical del famoso director mexicano Emilio Fernández.
El filme fue completamente restaurado en 4K a partir del negativo original de la cámara de nitrato de 35 mm, deteriorado durante décadas, por Peter Conheim (Cinema Preservation Alliance/EE.UU.) y Viviana García-Besné (Permanencia Voluntaria/México). Permanencia Voluntaria y Cinema Preservation Alliance coprodujeron el esfuerzo de preservación con la ayuda adicional de IMCINE y Academy Film Archive, trayendo Víctimas del pecado de regreso a la pantalla con una claridad y profundidad no vistas desde su lanzamiento original.
